From Ms. Williams, Band Teacher:

If you are a band family and not receiving email notices from Ms. Williams please email her, shelly_williams@hcpss.org with your current email address.

The Winter Concert is December 18th at 7:00 PM at Marriotts Ridge High School. We will be asking for a dollar donation at the door to help cover the expenses.

From Mrs. Quinn, GT Resource Teacher:

GT Testing: Howard County Public Schools are currently in the process of accepting nominations for 6th and 7th grade students for possible inclusion in the middle school GT content classes (English, Math, Science and Social Studies). Students currently participating successfully on a GT content area class in middle school are eligible to continue in that discipline next year without the need for any additional paperwork or testing. If you have a child in 6th or 7th grade, whom you wish to nominate for GT testing, please request a nomination form from Mrs. Quinn. Email Mrs. Quinn and include your child's name and grade. All requests must be received by January 3, 2008.

Memory Book order forms will go home with the Progress Reports this month. If you would like to receive a copy of this year's Memory Book in June, you should submit an order form with a check made out to MVMS for $20. Orders are due by January 31, 2008.

Check out Mrs. Quinn's website to learn about the exciting instructional seminars and projects taking place in the GT room.

Parents As Partners
